Car park usage

Download PDF for Boat Park Allocations here

The reduced foreshore due to the dam level heightening, has caused space restrictions in our parking area which necessitates an effective parking & storage management system.

oYour committee have negotiated that trailers etc of club members can be stored in the secured KZNCS parking area near the staff accommodation at a cost of R50 pa. Here they will in fact be more secure and are easily accessible as needed. Hence all trailers of moored boats should be stored there for safekeeping.

The parking area has 6 rows of demarcated parking spaces. From the waterfront proceeding backward, usage should be as follows:-

Tenders & dinghies may be left in Grassed area near boat house and rear perimeter area , a limited number in row 4 until racks are available. Plans are afoot to create suitable racking for these.

Indoor paid storage racking for frequent sailing dinghies is planned for the newly acquired boat shed.

Trees have been planted in the new camping area past the boatshed and all trailers should be removed there-from, ideally to the KZNCS area as described as this area is intended for a pleasant camping / picnicking area.

In order to make space available and enable frequent club sailing usage we ask, that all property be removed to applicable areas at soonest opportunity.

All old wrecks are to be removed to scrap yard.

The parking area is intended for facilitating sailing activities and not storage of scrap material so members are asked to respect this and remove obvious unused wrecks a.s.a.p, alternatively these will be expressly identified and requested to be removed.
